The WBC franchise belt and WBA super are essentially duck belts, and fighters know it, because it allows them not to have to face their mandatory but still have all the privileges of the top champion.
He did not get stripped. WBC invented the franchise and Loma team made the mistake of accepting it so they gave the normal wbc to Haney and elevated Loma to ****** franchise. I think WBC intended it to be the main one like WBA super but their plan hasn't worked out. And also ruins Teos legacy as although i consider it undisputed, his win now will always be a disputed undisputed with people not agreeing. And it's not down to him technically he won Loma who had won the proper WBC belt.
What i never got is why Lomas team accepted it i think there was confusion about franchise with like i mentioned them maybe thinking it was going to be like a wba super. Normally for undisuted wbc would have authorised it to go ahead so wbc should have just let Teo Loma happen and Haney wait, without making up the whole franchise stuff
Haney had fought no one at that point, Lomas priority was to fight Teo who had the last belt which makes sense, every boxer and fan would also want to see undisputed over mandatory. I've mentioned it before but it's funny how fans love claiming undisputed trumps mandatory, and will always complain about mandatories potentially coming in the way of undisputed and wanting to see undisooted fights. Yet Loma wanted undisputed and suddenly its a problem with people claiming he ducked Haney. Doesn't make sense, at that point Teo was also the bigger threatComment

We know why.. It's the same people who call Loma a hype job or bum.Comment

I think you missed the point.
Why, because Loma decided to duck his mandatory challenger back in 2019; In order to accept a bogus Franchise title? Really? That is just amazing to me for anyone calling Devin an e-mail champion. If he is, then Lennox Lewis was one too back in 1992; When Rid**** Bowe had decided to duck him for the WBC heavyweight title.
What I was getting at is that Haney now has a chance to stick it to all the Lomachenko fans that called him the Email Champ.Comment

Haney is basically still a nobody in the boxing world. He will get more respect after he beats Loma, if he does. You gotta earn respect by beating other great fighters in this sport. He's undisputed but he beat one guy who lets be honest, is not that great. The real challenges come at 140 IMOComment

I don’t disagree with much of what you said but facts are facts. Haney wanted to fight loma earlier and loma chose another route. As far as being stripped, if you have a belt and then it gets taken from you because you choose not to face your mandatory, you’ve been stripped. As for the fake franchise title, according to the wbc, loma requested it. So as per them, it wasn’t offered by them, he asked for it and they obliged.

We can make a bet on it
Loma is still arguably undefeated as well
He out threw and out landed a much younger, bigger guy in Teo and basically ended his career at an elite level in the championship roundsComment

I read that but Loma replied and said that was not the case. I think WBC sold it to them as like i said a wba super type and that haney would get the wbc regular. Sulaiman said the fight was for undisputed and said Teo was undisputed after the win. I believe its more likely wbc offered the ****show that is the franchise. Otherwise Loma could have just said im going for the undisputed with Teo and in a normal scenario wbc would have sanctioned it. They are the most corrupt and not as strict with mandatories. Ibf are the ones who are strict on mandatories. Look at Charlo 2 years out still have the belt no mandatory ordered. Spence has not had a mandatory either. They said Thurman yet 6 months later have not even called purse bidsI don’t disagree with much of what you said but facts are facts. Haney wanted to fight loma earlier and loma chose another route. InYes, I know. I was only referring to the ones who share that particular sentiment not you. I apologize for any misunderstanding my post may have caused. However, I do get what you are saying. In any case, it’s all goodComment
