He's a good fighter no doubt but i was more shocked with how bad Joyce looked than how good Zhang was, Joyce has no upper movement at all and was walking straight into the shots i don't think Usyk or Fury would be so careless.

Well 90% of us here felt like Joyce was the real deal. So the big Chinese deserves some hype.

I’ll hold my hands up though, I definitely underestimated Zhang and I certainly didn’t think he’d beat Joyce however…

People saying he can trouble Fury and Usyk are crazy man.

I’ll put it to you this way, if you take away Zhang’s left hand, what else does he really have?

Usyk and Fury aren’t gonna be on the line like Joyce was all night. They’ll just circle left, take the left hand away from him and use their far superior hand speed to pick him off all night. It’s easy work for both and a few other active HW’s tbh.

Otto Wallin wasn't supposed to trouble Fury. It's amazing how much more easily boxing matches are won on paper compared to the real thing.

Zhang is a 6ft 6, 280lb southpaw with a strong amateur pedigree and a good punch. While I wouldn't necessarily favour him to beat Fury it's certainly a fight I'd like to see. To suggest he couldn't even trouble Fury? Now that's crazy.

Wallin has faster hands and more importantly far faster feet. He’s also not 40 years old.

Styles make fights and Zhang’s style will not trouble Fury or Usyk. Easy work for both.

just look at the abominable state of boxing. there is a severe shortage of mainstream stars. boxing needs all the hype it can get.

I didn’t expect Joyce to outbox Zhang, I expected him to wear him down and stop him late.

What flaws do Fury and Usyk have that Zhang can exploit?

You know i wanted Joyce to win, and thought it was a pickem. But what Zhang did to hrgovic made me worried, more than what Joyce did to parker. I probably was worried Joyce didn't think i had faith in him so was reserved in saying outright that I thought Zhang would win.
But I stated many times Zhang could best joyce. Zhang hits hard and doesntwant to leave to judges so might not need to worry too much about outscoring you, just not let you land too much by being responsible defensively, and his timing is high level to me. To me, if you can land hard on fury you can beat him. I think Zhang will land hard and often

I was referring to boxing fans on here getting carried away. Not the Chinese public.

Once Joyce got over the fact that Zhang could hurt him, he lifted his output. Their outputs were going in opposite directions, and fast. Zhang was doing the damage but Joyce would have been staring to earn rounds (I haven't seen the cards).

All Joyce has to do in a rematch is avoid getting stopped and take it into the second half of the fight. That's far from impossible.

He might not be able to do that. That's why it's a good matchup for observers, same as the first was.

Add for Zhang's chances against other fighters, as long as they don't stand square in front of him then they should be fine. He's the same guy he was pre Joyce. Puncher's chance.
