i agree, it isnt really his fault though. u can see from my sig im a casamayor fan, but casa just like freitas, hamed and and all the other guys at the lower weights wanted no parts of floyd. he moved up to 140 to fight kostya, but he got upset by hatton. floyd tried to make figths with hatton and cotto instead but they didnt want it, so he moved up to 147. there he beat the two top guys in baldmoir and judah, but since they fell of afterwards he doesnt get any credit for it now. oscar and hatton where pretty much money fights but still hard challenges.

wouldnt he be heavily favored no matter who he fought? end of the day as soon as he beat em, mosley would be old, pac would be small, and cotto wouldve been destroyed by margarito already. even if floyd invented a time machine, and beat the great ray robinson in his prime. it would probably be due to ray having a bad hair day or something, and being unable to focus.

Floyd gets credit in here for the DLH win, he moved up in a weight class that wasn't natural for him and clearly beat a bigger man. If he fights and beats Cotto, Mosley, or Margarito he would get full credit from me.

I think he was speakin in context of the welterweights the threadstarter mentioned saying if Floyd fought 1 of the welterweight trio of Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, then he woulda stfu.

Why do people still mention Margarito? Mayweather would be considered the fav if he fought any other WW, he would have to move up to MW to be considered an underdog in a fight.

Pretty much. He still got time for the 2 relevant ones tho.

I never mentioned Margs as someone Floyd had to beat on the contrary I always say PW is the biggest test literally for Floyd at ww if he ever came back down. I was just pointing out that Floyd needs to beat the best at ww which is probably Mosley or the 2nd best at ww if you favor Floyd over him. A win over Cotto who's no worse than the 3rd best ww would be a step in the right direction for legacy and a surefire way to shut haters like me up. Floyd never had a big 3 or 4 like Manny did at his weight class that cements all doubt he's an ATG at fw/sfw and SRL had that big 3/4 too helping him prove he's a top 10 ATG. Floyd doesn't have that. If he beats Mosley and Cotto that would go a long way to meaning something special especially coming off the beat down of a sfw/lw champ.

Floyd avoiding Shane for whatever reason is going backwards in regards to his legacy and if Manny loses Floyd has no business ever calling him out even if Manny dominates jww for years to come.
Beating Shane and Cotto would not be cleaning out WW...and Paul Williams is irrelevant...he's a middleweight now

And I'd pick Floyd to beat Barrera and Morales...neither of them wanna see the Floyd who fought at 130 and 135...
