I don't disagree with much being said in this thread BUT if not for the damage to his eye, Joyce would have run over Zhang late. Zhang is a great 6 round fighter and Joyce, despite his obvious flaws, just gains momentum.

Was Joyce just beamed down from another galaxy on fight night? Could his team have maybe watched some tape on Zhang and seen that he is a lefty? Didn't they have at least six weeks to prepare for this fight? No excuses please. Just give the opponent his credit.

The real excuse is his eye could not take the repeated blows from Zhang and he's not as good as he is hyped.

Well, I have some great idea, maybe Joyce should learn how to block the punches with hands, not with his eye?

A 280 lbs Chinese dude punched him 100 times with his better hand straight on the eye. What would you expect to happen with the eye?

Too slow thats why, his style is good against someone that is afraid of his power thats all.

People really acting like Joyce got beat down and stopped and didn’t just lose on a technicality which many fighter’s in the past have gone through to beat their opponent.

If Joyce does not fight Zhang next, then the return fight needs to happen in super quick time.

You will be surprised how quick people switch up their tune once he gets a win back on his record again.

I rank Joe Joyce now way below Anthony Joshua & Dillian Whyte 'Joshua is a Olympic Champion, and former two time Heavyweight Champion. Dillian Whyte has beaten more top level fighters than Joyce'.

Joyce can obviously fight on, and beat many other Heavyweights. It will take some big performances for him to produce some serious momentum again 'The best way to do this would be to rematch Zhang immediately'.

But I honestly sense that his team do not want to go down this route etc.
