García vs Tank: what's better for boxing?

What is best for boxing is we have a clear, clean winner. No ref controversy. No bad judges cards.
The sport needs an American boxing star so either one winning is fine.Comment

I think what youre saying is-
The sport needs another boxing star that uses social media for brand development.
The sport does not need another social media star that uses boxing as part of brand development.
If so, I agree.Comment

Yeah I don’t think boxing is the priority for Garcia. He has other revenue streams where he can make money.
Tank ain’t gonna make money doing anything else but fighting.Comment

Neither of them if they aren't looking for a title shot with Haney. Let's face it, they are waiting Haney out until he moves to 140, meanwhile they have a lucrative fight against one another. If Tank wins, he'll compete for one of the titles Haney relinquishes when he moves up. He'll be matched against a hyped up no-hoper and hold the belt hostage until Loma turns 40. If Garcia wins, expect the same.Comment

What does it matter how long they stay in the sport if one continues to push his "boxing brand" by avoiding the best in each division?
Whether Ryans in it for the sport or his "brand" is irrelevant if he proceeds to fight dangerous fighters like Tank and wins. It's exciting for the sport,it's what we want from all fighters,so whether his career is 3 or 15yrs it really doesn't matter as i see it as nothing but a positive for the sport.Boxing and the boxers life will go on and that's their prerogative as they don't owe us anything.Last edited by Sctrojan; 04-12-2023, 12:53 PM.Comment

Davis has "Broner 2.0" written all over him. Guaranteed he continues to do horrible/****** things like beating women, driving drunk, missing weight, etc. The worst Garcia has done is pull out of some fights due to his mental health.
Garcia is inwardly self-destructive at times but Davis is a literal embarrassment to the human race. Just a horrible excuse for a person.Last edited by famicommander; 04-12-2023, 01:32 PM.Comment

I would like to think Ryan, but I also recall an older interview where it sounded like he didn't want to be in boxing for too long? Or that he would attempt MMA at some point while he's still young? I could be mixing things up, but I remember watching that interview and thought, well, his head isn't 100% then for the rest of his career or to grow older into his career in boxing. I'm not sure. If that isn't a "thing", then I would prefer Ryan wins. If Ryan is thinking of having a short boxing career, I'd rather Tank.Comment

Jeez man, what a horrible thing to say. I'm no fan of Davis, but even I wouldn't want something like that to happen to him.Originally posted by SilenceLoss of their life in a car crash is the best for boxing.
Come on now.Comment
