Clearly, Stanioni's promoter and PBC ally Richard Schaefer wanted him on Showtime. Stanionis even filed a petition for his WBA Eroll Spence shot. Strangely enough, that's the only time Ennis filed his own for the IBF.

Five months after Stanionis' last fight with Butaev, Vergil Ortiz made a quick move and filed a petition for his shot at Stanionis WBA regular title.

It does appear Team Ennis has this dilly dallying attitude and can't decide which path to take on Jaron Boots' career. They're thinking and planning too much.
I couldn't even imagine Schaefer having to deal with GBP, his former company he double crossed. I think it took a while for Richard to come to the realization. Unfortunately for him and Stanionis, the Ennis team didn't lure him to fight in the same PBC street and preferred to fight a guy named Karen who nobody has heard of.

Okay then, get a title match or fight a top ten contender while you’re still young. We’ve been waiting forever.

Bud chose Avanesyan because he wanted to get a fight in by the end of 2022 when it became apparent Earl and Al were just playing games. If the alleged Crawford-Spence fight was pushed back to the first quarter of 2023, how does fighting Avanesyan in December impede that? Btw, who has Spence fought since beating up 78 year old 4 loss Ugas a year ago?

Shady Al can't be trusted any more than Bob can. Btw, any idea how Rolly got KTFO @135, then gets an immediate title shot less than 10 months later? Think Al passing money under the table in Panama City has anything to do with that?
