Ignore the showtime commentary. He smothered Fundora inside work, was boxing circling the ring with footwork and it was some close rounds, and when it appeared that Fundora was gaining momentum, he hit him with the overhand right and left hook to knock him out.

Mendoza is not a bad fighter. He is inactive in a fight and gets hit, his inactivity costs him rounds and he gets touched in the process. He does have a plan and is resilient enough to stay in there because he thinks he will always has a chance. His post fight interview is very revealing in where his mental state was. IF a fighter don't come prepared for him he can catch up to them. That was not a lucky punch.

Gomez won a disputable fight with Mendoza at welter. So what? He hasn't even fought since he lost to Ceballo more that 2 years ago.

Ramos beat Mendoza clearly, he still fights at 154 and is still undefeated.

You know I would say instead of relying on boxrec to go on YouTube and watch the fight yourself but judging from your post history I'm willing to bet you suffer from Adelaide Byrd syndrome so I'll leave you with this pro-tip here..... Triangle theory's don't work in this sport kid. Gomez and Ramos are not "Monsters" just because they hold wins over Mendoza.

Mendoza has got to pump the break's on all that noise about fighting anyone from 154-160. He has to remember that he was losing the fight up to the point when he landed that power packed three piece. He is an exciting fighter to watch ply his trade in the ring, but he's not the best in either of those two weight division's. Can he win a title, with the power he has, and his never quit attitude in the ring you can't count him out period. That said he has to pump the break's, remain disciplined, and stay focused on his career.

His knockout victory over Sebastian Fundora was absolutely incredible and unbelievable. He is definitely a force to be reckoned with at 154.
