You're entitled to your opinion, I respect that and I recognize punch resistance was fading and there wasn't much coming back but I disagree with you. From my perspective he was still putting forth an effort, he was willing to come forward. Was it better for his long-term health for the fight to be stopped? Sure, but realistically it's better for every boxer's long-term health not to fight. For the sake of the competition and the fight was he so hurt that he couldn't continue? I didn't think so, personally.
EDIT: What I will say is the corner should have stepped in to stop it and that'd have been fair, but not the referee
Yes , absolutely the fight could have continued but would of just been a beatdown and a possible stoppage
I’ll give you that and fully agree , his corner should of stopped it
