Canelo can hit and he also has those subtle defensive moves he's developed since the Mayweather fight which he hasn't been relying on lately 'cos of the obsession with his power. If he goes back to that and pick his shots, I think he beats Benavidez easy.
If you know boxing, you’d know that a flat footed non mover in ggg who was in his late 30’s gave canelo more than he could handle and a main reason why is ggg has ex stamina while Canelo’s isn’t as good. Canelo doesn’t do well with boxers who carry him fast and make him work. That’s why ggg gave him hell in all 3 fights and was a bigger factor in Bivols win over canelo than any footwork he employed. Benavidez has elite level stamina and the more likely stamina is that his style will take over the later half of the fight.

Two totally different situations, Canelo. You waited out Golovkin until he got old. And you had to turn yourself into the Incredible Hulk to finally take that fight. David is a totally different animal. Younger better faster stronger, and a better engine.

wow you proved all your critics wrong when you waited till ggg was 34 and lost to him! so is he saying he's waiting till benavidez is 34 and then he will lose to him too? oh wait canelo won the ggg rematch controversially after doing ped's, maybe he will do that to benavidez?

If that's the case, then fight him and prove it. He's a big enough name to add to your legacy. No more "I don't fight Mexicans" nonsense.

Canelo stop with the excuses, you just don’t want to get stopped by a younger Mexican-Ecuadorian American kid who wants to be the next boxing star. Stop being a diva and put him over already

To me, comparing the power of GGG and Benavidez are a comparison of differences. GGG has a single harder punch, but Benavidez rains down with a volume where 2-3 of those punches can produce a greater damage to the opponent, especially to their face. Busting up an opponent with volume is hard for an opponent to overcome. Bringing Canelo into the equation. if I was Plant, I would rather be stopped by Canelo than pounded incessantly by Benavidez. That's just my take. If I was a boxer, I would rather have fought a young GGG than a prime Benavidez. That sht Benavidez dishes out is pure torture.

I personally don't want to see Bivol toy with Canelo for twelve rounds again. I prefer to see Bivol-Beterbiev and Canelo-Benavidez.

A young GGG was literally breaking bones and creating cuts/injuries with his punches. The type of snap and power he had when he was younger would've been hell to deal with.

this guy is a legend in his own mind. the only thing he is great at is beating euro bums like ryder, yildirim and fielding and fighters who are 5 years past their best
