    2. Harrison was injured a week or two from their scheduled June fight where Cota was brought in to save the card. Mell and Harrison rematch took place 6 months later, so no lies told there either.

Mell has never been one to shy away from anyone and injuries heel at different rates for different individuals so it's plausible he had a setback in recovery but OP is correct and pointed out Jermells hypocrisy. Mell isn't going to go straight into a fight with Tim, that's a 100% give in,so we're looking at December or early next year at the earliest before Tim gets his shot. That's if everyone stays injured free and no roadblocks.
The rematch was supposed to have taken place in June but Harrison, the 29-year-old native of Detroit, pulled out with an ankle injury. Charlo's subsequent su****ion as to whether Harrison was telling the truth helped take this heated feud to an entirely new level.

His link did sound Charlo wasn't buying Harrison's injury excuse for postponing the rematch. But this was general knowledge at that time. It was apparent in their very contentious back and forth when they were promoting the rematch.

I wasn't speaking on the Castano fight because it was only delayed by 2 months, but of course he was upset, as it had already happened with Harrison and he didn't believe it. Now, the poster stated that Mell didn't take another fight, but he did, he fought Cota. Charlo was upset about the Harrison delay because the new date would be a full year from their first fight. Remember, that was a controversial win that Tony received for Charlo's championship, and Harrison was talking giant loads of shxt about it. Jermell felt that Harrison was trying to keep the opportunity to win his belt away from him for as long as possible, because he knew that he didn't truly win the first fight.

Jermell has 2 broken bones in his hand, of course that's going to take some time for a boxer that uses his fists as his livelihood. Charlo also stated that he would fight Tim immediately in the summer, but Tszyu doesn't want to wait, so Tim is looking to get another fight in the meantime.

You're giving way too much special treatment on Charlo. Harrison didn't have to give Charlo a rematch right away. I doubt Charlo would even have given Harrison. Agree? And you don't count length of time from first fight to rematch. You count from scheduled date to recheduled one. You also have detailed injury "2 broken bones" for Charlo while you ignore the others' injuries and you're assuming they're lighter.

As OP seems aware of the events im sure he was aware that Cota filled in for the injured Harrison,as the events were only weeks apart, so I assume he's talking from injury(Cota fight) to thier eventual rematch which was 6 months later.

If Jermell and the public feel Harrison purposely delayed their rematch by way of a fake injury, which is funny considering Harrison did in fact have surgery on it to repair the tendon, then you have to turn the other cheek if the public claims the same on Jermells injury right? If not then therein lies the hypocrisy,a bed in which Jermell has already made for himself. Same sentiments he felt towards Castanos injury/postponement.

Seriously doubt Jermell goes straight into a fight with Tim after breaking 2 bones and the supposed (wink wink) issues with his recovery but we shall see.

In any case, I really don't care too much on when the Charlo vs Tszyu is going to take place. I'd rather see Charlo take as much time as he wants before going into the fight. He can also take tuneups first if he wants to. It's not like things like these are unusual in this day and age of the sport. It won't benefit me in any way. It's them that should worry about their legacies, their limited time in the sport, financial considerations before retiring, etc. They're not getting any younger.

Yep and he last fought 11 months ago and it looks like it's going to be 14 months. He's holding up the whole division. Time to start stripping those belts

Yes yes because he has quite the history of not fighting and holding up divisions.

Yes 14 months worth. How long should everyone else wait? This is other fighters careers too.

It's irrelevant what's happened previously. How long should everyone else wait? This is other fighters careers too.

The hate is ridiculous and amazing. Exactly whose career is being held up because he's supposed to fight in the summer? As the undisputed champion, he's going to have to fight his mandatory fights regardless, it would be one thing if he didn't have a mandatory scheduled, but he does, and assuming that he wins, he will be fight them in the order that they are mandated. No one besides Tszyu has been mandated.
