He got overpaid all of his fights after the Luis Ortiz 1 and he thought that is his real worth when his fights are no bigger or smaller in ratings compared to other fights. I'm not even sure if guys like Spence, Thurman, Garcia are still getting $1-2 million per fight like they used to. Why would Wilder get more? Where will PBC/Sho get the money from? Showtime wants no part of him because they can't afford him.

I assume Wilder is looking for a title fight
      Or a more lucrative fight
Andy might be going through some self inflicted personal drama.

I am sure he would be, but I reckon this time around he would like to fight Usyk rather than become mandatory and fight Fury again. At least Usyk isn't gonna maul him and he has a chance to KO him because Usyk does get hit.

Wilder and top 10 opponents don't go well together unless they're one of the worst champs of all time (Stiverne), senior citizens (Ortiz), or miscalculated cherrypicks (3 year retired featherfisted Fury). I fully expect Wilder to duck Ruiz and fight another bum instead. Somehow he also got to jump the line and get ranked # 1 as well from scumbag Sulaiman who has always protected him.

              I agree
Wilder is finished trying to prove he's smart enough to thwart Fury's dirty tactics.
Wilder is clearly a creature of habit.
Depend on right hand to land, then sloppily attack hurt opponent with patented wild mill technique..

He will probably be a problem for most other HWs.

Ruiz was too much of a risk for Wilder so he priced himself out

Multitude of reason, Showtime and PBC don't want to deal with either fighters demand for money, public wouldn't buy this fight no matter how well it's promoted and Wilder sees Ngannou as a more profitable fight while Ruiz will get a title shot vs Fury.
