That's actually funny, but we all know that he couldn't. Mike's way past his hey day, but it's still a laugh out laud remark when you hear it for the first time.
He went 12 with 'Blood' Green when he wasn't expected to, but he TRIED to get Green out of there. Green was durable - was that thug ever stopped? Once in 27 fights.
I think people are responding more to this pattern with AJ where he just seems to not be focused... There is a difference between an opponent that is there to survive... which can make any marque fighter look bad, and an opponent that truly is in the fight. The critiscism is that Franklin was confident and trying to win the fight in the later rounds and not simply trying to survive. However I am willing to give AJ the benefit of the doubt here... Just do not think he is able to fight at the level of Joyce, Wilder, Fury, or Usyk who hit another gear and beat Joshua in the later rounds.
Given what we've heard and seen from Joshua lately, I'd say he's one loss away from retiring. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he retires rather than face Joyce or Wilder. He'd likely fight Fury for that huge retirement check, though.
Don’t use Mike as an example you make yourself look foolish and rarely did Mike go 12 with no vigor either.
If you say to someone Mike got Kod by Buster in his prime they'll claim his prime was before Buster. And that Prime Mike (the most over used 2 words in boxing) would KO anyone in this generation, yet he went the distance 4 times in that so called prime in the 80s
He’s just inviting people to make the comparison. That’s so idiotic. It makes Joshua appear even more clumsy and sluggish and lackluster and unaccomplished than he already is.
Joshua is unaccomplished? Yeah ok. Regardless of whether you like Joshua or not as a person or a boxer it's ridiculous to say he's unaccomplished. I wonder what great accomplishments you've made in your life thus far? I'm willing to bet nothing worth talking about.
Nonsense. Tyson is an old stoner. You're just a nostalgic Tyson worshipper. People are so enamored with Tyson's prime years that they are incapable of viewing things objectively. Maybe you have a short memory or just watch KO compilation videos on youtube all day but Mike was a shadow of his former self in his last years in the ring. He was blitzed by less capable boxers than Franklin.
