He lost the Teofimo fight. The Haney fight was too close to call which could have gone either way.

However, the one mistake he made in both fights is that he didn’t take enough risks in them. He showed them both too much respect.

He mounted his offensive attack very late in each of those two fights. He was too concerned with preserving himself.

He held back in both fights and didn’t leave it all in the ring.
