Shane is the linear champ. When he fought Margarito it was for the vacant linear championship. Margarito was #1, #2 was Cotto who Margaito just KO'd, and #3 was Mosley. Ring should of approved it for their vacant title. They have let #1 vs #3 battle for their vacancies before. So I don't see why not let this one. But, it was a lineage title fight.

The only reason I think the Ring didn't take it for a lineage fight. Was because Paul Williams beat Margarito. But, Williams was not even ranked on Ring's top 10 WW. At that time.

Not hating, just disapppointed that the most gifted boxer of our generation loves his 0 too much to fight the best. He doesnt have to fight all of them, but c'mon, at least two. But of course any criticism of Floyd is Hating. Unless he changes he will forever be known as the greatest boxer to never challenge himself. If that's what he wants for his legacy then fine. Then again I'm pretty sure he said he fights for paychecks not his fans.

While I agree with what you stated ... I do think everybody should relax. Floyd just came back from retirement and has openly stated that he will be here awhile.

He will have to fight at least two of the guys {Pac.Mosley.Cotto.Berto.Clottey} most people want him to fight ... eventually. There's just no where else to turn in the WW division !!!!!

Didn't Mayweather said De La Hoya refuse to fight him before? But that didn't keep Mayweather from fighting him some many years later so I don't think theres a big enough reason for him to refuse to fight Mosley now, unless he afraid he can't win.
