I believe under James we will see AJ as Vlad/Lennox 2.0. James is real good with mechanical fighters he can talk through a fight and that's what AJ needs. Spence technical plotter, Charlo technical boxer puncher when James can stop him from swinging for the fences. That what Steward was good at. I believe he will fight Joyce after Franklin, not Fury. He needs 2-3 fights under James before Fury. Hearn trying to rush AJ into defeats and cash outs. Might be time to cut him loose also.

I reckon Hearn is pushing AJ because he wants earn back what they have paid him before his contract is up. For Hearn it's all about money. Anyway, boxing is business.

Great points! Both Lewis and Klitschko bounced back from very tough losses. Highly unlikely their careers would have been what they were without Steward. But of course the lineage of Steward is in Fury’s corner…

To be honest, Joshua, Wilder and Fury are the cancer of division right now.

Joshua is coming from two losses to the cruiserweight. beating a fringe guy wouldn`t mean he earned the shot. he is still a cash cow somehow, which is wrong.

Wilder is coming from two losses to Fury. beating his sparring partner Helenius doesn`t mean he should be in the mix. He also ducked Ruiz.

Fury is ducking Usyk and he seems like he doesn`t want to fight anybody half dangerous.

Usyk is many things, and ultra gifted. But Dangerous isn't the first thing to come to mind.
Now ability wise? Joshua, Wilder and Fury > Holyfield, Bowe and Vitali, easy. I think a great movie is playing, and you're missing the film. We're all best off ignoring the media filtered posturing and negotiation leaks. These guys need to get off their high horses and finish the round robin that Wilder and Fury started.

I think Joshua tees off on Franklin and stops him within 7. It makes sense to take on a low-risk opponent as a rebuild, but it is probably leaning a little too far in the low-risk direction. Someone else said Joshua should face Joyce before fighting Fury, and I would tend to agree. Wilder would work as well.

Cliff I'm a fan of neither any more, both avoided undesputed using money as an excuse but Fury beat all ticket sale record's at Wembly. Meanwhile Aj struggles to sell out the 02.
Aj needs for once to earn his shot, Eddie & Aj are desperate for Fury due to they're entitlement when Joyce, Hrgovic & Dubois are ahead of him in the que. Unfortunately the non sport of boxing doesn't work like that any more.
If this is a final phase, he has to beat Frank then face Joyce Wilder & Fury, in that order. Usyk Aj 3, if Aj opens up like casuals wabt he get's maimed by Usyk.
Like Eddie & Fury could ever agree anything xD the last attempt was killed by Ajs sponsor's, Ed sent back the contract demanding commercial control & A-side status for Aj who keeps loosing when he's not fighting shot old 38-41 yr olds. Fury will demand 80 20 & Aj will have to wear an eye patch.

What are you talking about? The undisputed fight didn’t happen because Fury wasted months of negotiations by somehow ‘forgetting’ he’d signed a rematch clause with Wilder. That fight was done otherwise.

If AJ knocks Franklin out he’ll be right back up there in popularity. Fury might sell out Wembley but he hasn’t touched AJ’s PPV figures.

In your head, while AJ spends the next 12 months fighting Joyce and Wilder to ‘deserve’ a shot, who is Fury fighting? Another couple of bums?

Joshua vs Franklin is strugggglingggg to sell out the O2 Arena - still tons of tickets available.


Joshua vs Klitschko sold 90,000 tickets at Wembley Stadium, Tyson Fury broke that record, selling 94,000 tickets.



Joshua will earn a fraction of money against Jermaine Franklin this weekend, compared to the Usyk 2 money in Saudi.



Tyson Fury sold last year (2022) - 154,000 tickets. The PPV numbers in the UK were good aswell. Fury is undefeated.


Joshua has 3 defeats - Ruiz Jr, Usyk 1, Usyk 2 - never made it in America.

I think we're about to see Joshua look very impressive and generate a whole load of hype.

But it seems to be forgotten that, while Joshua lost twice to Usyk, he actually boxed well. Maybe as well as he's ever boxed. He just came up against a guy whose style was all wrong for him 8 times out of 10.

When you fight good fighters, you can lose fights. In any other sport he'd still be seen as a real threat at the top level. But in the fickle world of boxing he's irreparably damaged by those back to back defeats (plus the freak one he comfortably avenged). And people will then put a lot of weight into his performance against Franklin when it's not a particularly challenging opponent.

He's still a top fighter. And now he's getting input from some fresh faces and voices. Fury and others know full well he's still dangerous.

I'm looking forward to seeing one of the best heavyweights in the world back in the ring to start his comeback. There's a bit of rebuilding needed but he's still right up there - he just needs to remind everyone who he is.

I think Both Fury and AJ would get a lot of satisfaction icing out Usyk if and when Fury and AJ fight! (watch it be a trilogy).And afterwards they both retire, and Usyk has to get the crap beat out of him fighting other heavyweights for chump change by comparison!!lol
And by the way- no one will give two sheets if Usyk becomes undisputed, without beating Fury for it!
