Canelo is albino. you don't actually need white man DNA to look white.

    this girl is Indian

    indian guy

Canelo just has a bit of albino genetics. not overwhelming

he looks just like his dad in the face. Very native. hooded eyes. Wide face. high cheekbones. low nose bridge.

Canelo had mentioned that his great grandfather from his mother's side was a soldier from the Saint Patrick's battalion, which was a Mexican Army's unit mostly composed of Irish immigrants.

As for Canelo's father he looks like a tanned Spaniard:

One would have to categorize Canelo as white. No doubt he has some Native lineage, but his physical appearance is European all the way. Barack ***** is fully 50% white, yet no one would even consider calling him anything other than black. If you took a look at me you would think I’m Italian, kind of an “off-white.” Lol I’m mostly European ancestry, with a significant amount of Native and African blood. On the old forms and applications, I would check off “white”; if they had a box for “white hispanic,” I would check that off.

          You're talking solely phenotype.......

Canelo's dad is brown...so you mean to tell me because Canelo came out with the recessives genes he is magically a different race than his father? So if 2 black parents have an albino child the child is now Caucasian?

I always thought he looked irish and never knew this about his mother till you wrote it. That explains it then

The last name Barragan is common in mexico. As for its origin who knows its like Smith for example is a common African American name now but it obviously didn't come from africa.

Brown Mexicans are also white, just what is called Red Pheomelanin, if their lineage is Indigenous. Hence, the Mexican who played Namor. He is Indigenous, not African lineage. 100% sure a DNA test on him would not show anything significant from the continent. Natives are also white. There are only 2 races. Assuming you are black with cabbage patch Davis as you icon. Only 2 races on this planet.

There are not 2 races on this planet. Idk if you are trying to sound smart by some new theory but nobody of note will claim that. And no I am not "black"....I am Mexican.

We can go by the Germanic school of thought (also the most dominant in western societies) that there are 3 races, or the Spanish casta system, or the Biblical point of view which holds to several different races/nations. No scientist or historical theologian would EVER claim that there are only 2 races.....

Asians, East Indians, White Europeans, and Native Americans ARE NOT the same race.

If you haven’t seen a Mexican that looks white, you haven’t been around many. I work in California at the federal level, and there are Mexican co-workers who I only found out where Mexican because of their last name and hearing them speak Spanish.

Just another piece, Irish-Mexicans are a thing due to Irish communities living there for centuries. Why his brothers don’t look like that also, well, that’s just genes. Canelo may have gotten his genes from a past Irish-Mexican ancestor.
