Benavidez seems to have a better gas tank that Canelo. If Canelo gasses out like against Bivol, he is in trouble.

I really hope Canelo holds off on the Bivol rematch and takes that fight with Benavidez so fans can see once and for all what happens when Red Flag encounters the real Mexican Monster. Bivol will beat Canelo again, but Benavidez is tailor-made for Canelo.

tailor made? hmmm....naaah, i think he is all wrong for Canelo and his limited gas tank. David's work rate and size would definitely give him problems. No need to hold the belt hostage and take another L to Bivol. Go ahead and past the torch or prove the people that wanna see the fight wrong. 50-50 fight but im leaning towards David

It always shocks me how many people think he's the Mexican Pernell Whitaker or some ****.
Depends who he fights. Watch him against Danny Jacobs.

David fancies himself a big puncher, but he's not. His volume pressure style requires that he stay on the line and in the pocket for way too long to hope that he's not going to get absolutely lit up by Canelo. Canelo is a far better boxer than Benavidez, who, by the way, looked slow and aimless for 5 straight rounds against Plant. Canelo is going to **** that big slow body worse than he ever has any other opponent. Canelo could not ask for a better style than David's. He doesn't have to chase, just sit back and counter this guy to death.

Jacobs, Trout and GGG 1 fights are good examples where the ginger showed he can box on his backfoot, not saying hes fkn Mayweather lol but definitely aint that flat-footed as Benavides if we throw comparison.

Yeah, I don't think it was good enough to overcome GGG's jab, pressure and ring-cutting in that first fight, but Canelo absolutely can fight effectively on the back foot. He became a little too drunk with power running through the SMW champions and started to become a flat-footed slugger, but Canelo does have it in his repertoire to be multi-dimensional against even against top tier guys. I don't believe that David Benavidez has demonstrated that same level of versatility. I really think Canelo picks him apart and stops him late. Bivol beats them both handily IMO, so I'd rather just see Canelo and Benavidez square up this year.

That's one ****ing fight lol. And I knew that's the one that would be mentioned. Enough head movement to be in a 7 second gif and suddenly Nelo is the matrix

I don't know about that. Canelo loves to rest. Benavidez will never allow him to rest. David stops him in 9 or 10.
