Still think that Vergil can fight at 147 but he has to make important changes and additions to his camp. He was still a month away from fighting, but if he had cut while having rhabdo then it would have put his life in jeopardy, and he would had likely retired early in his career.
It is rumored that the fight between Stanionis and Ortiz Jr is being re-scheduled for July, though not it's still not a done deal. Stanionis could take a stay busy fight like Mckinson has done or be provided with more money by GBP and Ortiz's team similarly to how it was attempted with Avanesyan.Last edited by kiaba360; 03-29-2023, 07:05 PM.

Honestly, I think that Robert didn't do the right choice considering Franco was a Veteran with the experience of a World Champion, but it is also Ortiz's team fault from switching to completely different camps at the get go.
Last year Vergil had an intense training camp for 6 months to face Avanesyan/Mckinson in March before contracting Rhabdo which is normally caused by people physically overstraining themselves and not getting the sufficient nutrition intake.
Wouldn't be surprised that it happened again since it was done deal in December that he was going to fight Eimantas in March, until Stan had an appendectomy and the fight had to be rescheduled in April 29, making it from a 4 month camp onto a 5 month camp.Last edited by Malvado; 03-29-2023, 07:53 PM.kiaba360 likes this.

Ortiz doesn't blow up in weight in between fights, the fight was already postponed once and we're still a month out from the fight. A point where most fighters aren't cutting a drastic amount of weight so I believe this is just a case of over exertion over a prolonged training camp.kiaba360 likes this.

Was Ortiz showing any signs of physical deterioration at RGB? Or is Ortiz Sr. to blame for what's currently happening with Vergil?
