Man I hope for Vergil that it’s not a return of rhabdomyolysis! That can completely destroy his boxing career. Prayers it’s not that…hopefully something minor that doesn’t hurt his career!

If he’s not from the south, he’s never heard of collard greens, and gravy is his version of a tomato sauce!

          It's rhabdo again.

Leaving RGBA might have been a bad idea, Robert tends to keep check on his fighter from overexerting themselves and he had his own nutritionists, something that Ortiz Sr likely is struggling with as now the head trainer.

Still think that Vergil can fight at 147 but he has to make important changes and additions to his camp. He was still a month away from fighting, but if he had cut while having rhabdo then it would have put his life in jeopardy, and he would had likely retired early in his career.

It is rumored that the fight between Stanionis and Ortiz Jr is being re-scheduled for July, though not it's still not a done deal. Stanionis could take a stay busy fight like Mckinson has done or be provided with more money by GBP and Ortiz's team similarly to how it was attempted with Avanesyan.

They were fighting for their very existence back in the day, what I'm saying is that it is highly improbable.
Moreover that so many fighter's coming down with one excuse or another to cancel or postpone are su****ious.
It's almost like an epidemic has hit the sport of boxing, and only the sport of boxing.

This reminds me of the repeated postponements of the Kell Brook vs Devon Alexander fight.

                    This is just sad.....

Any good replacement for this fight in the same division?

If Stanionis still fighting in April 29, then he likely have options like Rocha, Mckinson and Giyasov.

That's if he sticks around though, hope Stanionis vs Ortiz Jr gets rescheduled at the end of the year. (August-December)
