ggg ducked many guys and is going to retire. Even a munguia (another ducker) fight would be too much for this wilted old fart. I think he is done. He doesn't even want smoke with another old man, lara who is close to his age.

Even at this stage of his career Golovkin shouldn’t struggle with someone like Mungia

Boxing today is full of fighters who are chasing one specific fighter. There are very few active boxers today who say, "I want to fight anyone at or near my weight division with no exceptions". James Toney was always like that. Today, Benavidez and Boots Ennis are like that. There may be a few others who are willing to fight anyone, but very few are known to make that type of public statement

Folks are acting like Munguia can't give GGG a run for his money. Did anyone not see GGG VS Canelo 3? GGG didn't act like he knew he was in a fight until the last third of it. A young UNDEFEATED lion with nothing to lose has everything to gain. GGG is in trouble......an upset is in the making.

            Removing Nelo's name.....
GGG next best opponent is Jacobs and.......?
Went life and death vs Chenko
Now he's ''old'', so he has to be carefully matched (maximize earning potential for nest egg).

Jaimie is the ''best guy'' GGG has fought in a while who's name isn't Nelo.
Could be Jaimie is not that good, but wins, because GGG was that old.

October 2018 WBC ordered GGG to fight Charlo, and his promoter Tom Loeffler said in an interview that the Charlo fight wasn't going to happen and "didn't make sense". If you don't remember or didn't see it, it's literally trivial to find if you have any skill with search terms.
there is a difference between wbc "ordering" a fight and pbc making ggg an offer. You paste some quote from where? that a fight was ordered? what made sense to loffler at the time? a rematch with Canelo was making way more sense back then?

At this point in their careers I agree. This fight has been in the making for years, atleast since 18' where Munguia was denied by NSAC. A baffling decision nonetheless by Munguias handlers to even consider such a fight at that time right?? Munguia would've been obliterated so you can't help but wonder why??

I'm far from a fan of Mungias but theres no denying he has improved, possibly just enough to beat this shop worn version of GGG. When GGG decided to to sell out at 168 to Canelo I can't help but think he knew he still had this Mungia payday at 160.

Not a bad fight and as mediocre as i feel Jaime is, coupled with as shot as GGG is, this may very well be nothing more than symbolic "passing of the torch"gesture that casuals will eat up.

But I'm the apologist, ha ha? The time you have spent looking for excuses could have been used to look up the facts that a few people have already mentioned to you. You don't need a link, you need a tissue.
