I cannot understand why Plants trainer looked like he wanted to suck Benavidez p p after the fight. He looked like he wanted an autograph and his instructions during the fight were amateurish.

168 is a weak division so I’m not sure who would beat Plant outside of who has already beaten him. I think Benavidez beats canelo. The only reason Plant survived was because he had a 22 ft ring and was on the move a lot. Canelo doesn’t and can’t move like that. Plus his stamina isn’t great. Benavidez overwhelms him in the second half as well.

I see canelo vs MM going exactly like that too. I think canelo had worst feet then plant but has better waist and head movement so I doubt David would whoop canelo ala plant but I still think he overwhelms canelo in the second half and regardless of the decision, I think it’ll be controversial, but I think I’d lean MM on that one just out of pure volume punching and keeping canelo defensive the second half. Idk man, that’s a tough call now, the more I think about it.

Plant changed trainers after fighting Canelo and was clinching like a mad man against Benavidez, tactics he didn't employ against Canelo.
