the proliferation of belts and super/junior divisions actually help the boxers for the reasons i stated. it gives boxers cache of having a belt and it justifies a certain level of financial reward and allows fights to happen that otherwise wouldnt have happened. one belt isnt under the control of one boxer, one promoter.
like i said,
its a necessary evil.
i dont prefer it, i rather it be just like the old school, one division no junior super divisions, one champion.
but that's not the reality we live in.
