hbo eliminated their boxing program and decided to spend that money on leftist/woke shows like euhporia and insecure.

sad what has happened to hbo which coincides with the abominable state of hollywood/entertainment industry today.

i could understand it if you spent that money to make great legendary epic shows like oz, sopranos, the wire, game of thrones but of course, hollywood has to politicize every god damn thing today.

Sht I havent bought a PPV since Mayorga-Spinks but that was a reasonably stacked event by Don King.

*** all that PPV today though. Even if I was a billionaire, Im not paying money for unworthy fights. That's on principle.
You just made it clear that you don't spend money on worthy fights either. Considering Spinks vs Mayorga was 20 years ago.

There have been plenty of ppv worthy fights since then and you still didnt buy. Lmaooo

Most boxers today are just like leeches. Leeching on someone's popularity/notoriety, instead of doing it on their own. Instead of being active they wait for some teenage heart throb to give them attention so it could somehow rub off onto them.

I'm pissed that I was so young when they were on free and I wasn't into the sport. I was able to catch some of it once I did become a fan prior to them disappearing, but in comparison, if Friday Nights Fights (or Tuesday for that matter) were on right now I would be having a blast watching them weekly.

UFC basically filled that hole with their free fight cards on Spike I think it was. Boxing left it wide open and UFC came in for the steal. Boxing only has itself to blame for how it's been managed. Now a lot of fans moved on to UFC or simply don't care for boxing anymore since they barely watch it. What's that phrase?? Oh right, "Out of Sight, Out of Mind". Boxing has done a lot of that lately. About as often as its stars.

somewhat of a necessary evil. all these belts help out boxers to be champions to justify certain amount of monies and cache for fights that wouldnt happen if they didnt have a belt.
