He better hope the fight does well financially or he'll be left without anything after Plant collects his guarantee.
No wonder he's been so desperately trying to sell it.

I know. The obviousness of it kills "Haymon fans", for whatever reasons they are his fans. But he protected Spence big time. All he had to do was give Bud a guarantee, the fight happened. But apparently he doen't mind taking a chance with a guy who has already lost, Plant.

No matter the theories you all come up with, Haymon is protecting Spence big time. No reason in the world that fight had no guarantees, apart from the obvious, which was to get Bud to walk away. Once Bud shows a decline, Al will jump on it.

They're both his fighters, and on "the same side of the street". They've both wanted this fight for a long time. Why didn't it happen earlier? Same reason that WBA and WBC decided to clog things up with tons of minor belts. Greed.

He may be good at schmoozing people whose primary talent lies in the ring, not in detecting lines of BS. That doesn't mean he's actually good for them or for boxing.

Last year David Morello's promoter, Luis De Cubas, Sr., was calling for the fight against Benavidez. Why didn't Benavidez even hear about it from Haymon? Was that for the good of Benavidez and boxing?

This fight should be in an undercard.

So basically benevidez, and others, have been "milking it" and pbc fighters aren't getting the fights they supposedly "want" because they don't really want them?

Why should Crawford get a guarantee?

Why shouldn't haymon look after Spence's I tests first? He's his advisor not Crawford's!

It's telling that noone has bothered to sign Crawford. What does this say about him? Probably that his estimation of his value isn't shared by the people who have to pay him.

PBC promised me free fights, and I'm holding them to that. I'll be watching this for free.
