bowe did not have as much power as vitali. ask larry doanld and herbie hideI'm going to be real... I think Vitali matches up great with Bowe. If you think Rid**** has a huge upperhand in that match-up I don't see it. I think Bowe would have a problem with any big man with real ability (not Andrew Golota), which is why Lennox never got a shot at him in the pros. Both of them have great chins, but Bowe has more one punch KO power... I don't know who wins, but great question...Comment

M-m-m maybe i should come back and watch stout Foreman fighting for Evanders` title? Or stout Ali fighting for Holmeses` title? Or stout Galento fighting Louis???Dude, what is your email address? I need to send you some good heavyweight fights so that you know what one is. You cannot be serious in saying that this was a good fight. You need to go back a good 10 years before you'll find anything worth watching at HW. I don't know what you were watching. Chris Arreola proved his critics exactly right. As much as I loathe Wlad Klitschko, Arreola wouldn't do any better against him. In fact, I'm sure he'd get cleanly KO'd by Wlad, as he would have in the 11th if he had the nerve to come out for it tonight. I'm not calling him a *****, because he showed toughness in taking a lot of good shots for 10 rounds, but I didn't hear him arguing with his corner or the ref prior to the stoppage. He knew he was done and knew he didn't have enough left to finish on his feet.
Tell me that fatties do not fight in boxing
Or maybe Arreola/Vit was worse than... say Ali/Bugner?
If so, we just have really different points of view as for the sport of boxing

I get your points but i have to say something here... First of all "The Greatest of All Time" is not as great. Period. Before giving me some red, think that, calling one man The Greatest = spitting to the face of those who have done equally or even more in terms of achievement or to the sport of boxing...
I have two problems with Ali:
Young Alis` durability was questioned (watch the Cooper fight)...
Older Ali was tough (i think among the 5 toughest HW ever), but he took to many punches to the head...
Yeah, one can say nobody could hit young Ali, he was elusive and bla bla bla... First of all Ali wasn`t completely elusive (that`s just a myth), second the level of his opposition was incomparable to those who he fought during the 70th...
I don`t know who would win in the mythical fights between Ali and any other HW of the latter years, what i just want to say is: first of all he wasn`t unbeatable, secondly - any Ali fan wouldn`t like to see him in the ring, taking so many punches to the head he used to take, with the likes of Holmes, Bowe, Lewis, either Klitschko...
Actually i think Vitali is to vulnerable to cuts to go trough such fight... And maybe Wlads` chin isn`t so tough to take Alis` punches (which obviously weren`t lethal...)... And maybe Lewis was somekind slow for Ali... Who knows? Maybe i`m completely wrong, but please, before jumping on the "AliistheGOATsoSTFUignorantidiots bandwagon" watch his fights with more objectivity and notice how he struggled against the likes of Bugner for example...
P.S. That said i think you have a point and i respect your opinion.
P.S. Ali is top 5 HW of all times!Comment

Man... I thought that Areola will give Vitaly some competion, it was a total wipe out... I feel very sorry for both fighters (Areola for losing badly and Vitaly coz he got no good competion in his era except his little brother whom he will never fight).Comment

Very few hw's ever match up well with klit. Reach, chin, power, underrated footwork. Stop hating. I'm not saying he's atg, but he is a good hw, and he's definitely not an easy fght for anyone. I was pretty impressed the his offensive variety, muchbetter than his bro's.Comment

You know, you can go further and say that due to his moral state Douglas could have defeated any opponent, including Steven Seagal and Chuck Norris, should they fought him that day... And you may be right...The Buster Douglas from February 11, 2001 would have beaten down EVERY active heavyweight today; including both Klitschkos. If you don't believe that, you haven't seen that fight. Buster's career wasn't special, of course, but he was a very skilled fighter (unlike Vitali) who gave an incredible performance on the night he KO'd Tyson. Tyson didn't get KO'd by some lucky punch as some people who have never seen the fight seem to believe. He got taken apart by a skilled heavyweight on a mission. Go back and watch.
The only problem i have with that fight is that Douglas was actually knocked out... And the greatest upset in HW history happened only because of the referees` mistake

Yes I think Bowe would of broken down Vitaly. I am talking about the prime Bowe. The Bowe from the first Holyfield, Vitaly has never faced somebody as good as a prime Bowe. Never. If so name me who.I think Bowe ia a more fluid fighter than Golota or VK, but the fact is that Golota didn't have that much trouble with Bowe, he simply broke down because he is a nut case. Do you think that VK would break down? Do you think that VK couldn't do what Golota did?
And Lewis wasn't that far over the weight he weighed in at for his last fight
As for Lewis. That waw the highest he has ever weight for a fight. But, is not only the weight. It was his conditioning. By the 4th round he was already tired. He was out of shape. And, still beat Vitaly.Comment

Again you talking about he had to cheat Holyfield. But, that was the 90's version of Tyson. Look I am going to make this more simpe from 1986-1989. Give me your list of top 10 hW's of that time. And, I bet you Tyson beat damn near everybody you want to put on the list. Tyson dominated those 3 years against really good competition. That competition from 86-89 is a tougher competition than what Vitaly is fighting now. So if you saying that version of Tyson was overrated. Then you saying Vitaly is overrated. Try to make a list of top 10 HW's from 86-89 and You would see Tyson dominated.
The Kevin Rooney trained version. Really didn't have a weakness. If so name me what. When Rooney left. That is when he went downhill. That is when he started becoming a head hunter. He forgot about about. He stop moving his head as much. He did get as low as he use to. He became more flat footed. Also he stop training as hard. Didn't take boxing serious. But, from 86-89 he was the baddest man on the planet and there is nothing overrated about that. I will wait for your listComment
