He certainly deserves it more than Charlo and Andrade who have done almost nothing in recent history at any weight, one mediocre fight between them at 168. More deserving than former Canelo foes Fielding and Callum Smith whose wins over Ryder had little popular support, to put it mildly. His fight against former Canelo foe Jacobs was very close, I thought he won, but could have been a draw or gone to Jacobs but saying it was a robbery is laughable.

He's actually a pretty good fighter. Don't begrudge him this great opportunity. He exposed Parker, and he arguably beat Callum Smith, so he's alright.

You can't expect Canelo so jump back in with Bivol now.
