And that's the thing, he might beat him, he might get beat up. How many fights canelo's has fought where fans didn't know the outcome? One, maybe two. I'll tell you this, If the fight were to be made and ginger was the favorite, I'd put money on the "underdog", a lot. He tried to fight ryder, he ran back to England telling the World he was moving to LHW to fight bivol, hearns was saying this, he's back to SMW fighting canelo, go figure.

I'm glad to see Ryder given this chance on the big stage. He's had his downs in his career but has always gone about his business quietly and bounced back.

Unfortunately, I can't see the fight being too competitive.

Canelo started fighting professionally at 15 or 16 years old. He had no amateur fights that I'm aware of. Comparing Canelo's early pro career to Morell's early pro career doesn't work too well.

Personally, I think Morell might beat Canelo, he's very high risk for anyone. The trouble is, where is the reward? I'd like to see that fight because I, like you, know how good Morell is. To get the Canelo fight, a lot more people need to be onboard.
The amount of fights is not what is going to stop this fight, it is the boxer, Morell jr. has all the attributes to not only give canelo a boxing lesson but beat him up real bad, this kid will not be content, like bivol, in just winning on points. And I did compare, but I doubled the number of fights, and yes canelo learned in the pro ranks while Morell jr. did it in the amateurs, so again, 8, 16, 20 fights don't matter, every up-and-coming boxer is a high-risk low reward, to tell you the truth I'm an old boxing fan, back in the 60's, 70's, 80's and even the early 90's , I didn't hear of that quote "high-risk low reward", or the least didn't stop Sanchez vs. Nelson, or Zarate vs. Zamora (another standout amateur) Arguello vs Mancini, Pambele vs Benitez, Patterson vs Pete Rademacher, I can fill pages with high-risk low rewards fights, this thing is thanks to the new wave of fans, acting as managers and promoters, the new fans love their fighter with that 0 in the Loss column, they don't care who they fight, as long as they know that the unblemished record is going be there at the end of the fight. I agreed with you that David Morell Jr. would kick the crap out of canelo's, and I'm pretty sure canelo's team knows it too. I think we're going to get Morell jr. v benavidez. Be safe.
        Note:
        2004
Junior Mexican National Championships Silver medalist.
2005 Junior Mexican National Championships Gold medalist. I think he's listed as a 44-2 as an amateur.

"Oh Please, Spare me" is my reaction to Ryder's reasons why he earned this fight. I usually go to my local sports bar and pay $10 to watch PPV boxing. This is going to be the first Canelo fight that I'm going to pass on.

His cherry picking of opponents has to stop !!!!

Beterbiev is a f.ucking p.ussy for not making the Bivol fight years ago. Bivol too. How long have they both been champs at 175? And never wanting to unify?

Either they're p.ussies that don't want to fight each other, or they're puppets of their promotors, getting told what to do and who to fight. I think they're p.ussies that want to hide behind their promotors and use the promotor as an excuse to fight nothing but bums.
