Does Tank vs Garcia prove that belts don’t matter?

Think about it, Haney and Loma will fight just a month later for every meaningful belt in the division yet nobody really cares or at least they certainly don’t care anywhere near as much as they care about Tank vs Garcia.

I’m a hardcore boxing fan, but I’ll openly admit I’m way more excited about Tank-Garcia than any other fight scheduled.

No they do matter, but it is fights like these that gives the belts meaning by the best fighting the best.

Just the opposite. This is the shyt you get when fighters won't face their actual rivals on a level field. Hopefully we get Haney/Loma

Not only do belts don't matter, I don't consider Haney the best, or THE Champ, at lightweight. You can't have 4 champions in one division. These fake belts are a cancer to boxing.

Agree to some extent, I don’t consider him the best, I think both Tank and Shakur beat him but surely you have to consider him the Champion. He beat the man who beat the man.
