Gennadiy Golovkin is officially a former two-time middleweight titlist. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Golovkin has officially vacated his WBA middleweight title. The development comes just four days ahead of a scheduled March 13 purse bid to determine promotional rights for his overdue title consolidation bout versus Erislandy Lara. Of course this coward was not gonna fight Lara. Out of his 40 fights he only has 2 good opponents, Canelo and Daniel Jacobs and both guys practically whooped him smh yet fanboys wanna label this clown as an all time great just for beating overmatched opponents while defending his belts. The most overrated fighter of this generation. Hopefully this mf retires already, Canelo paid him millions and set him for life. Golovkin should be bowing down and thanking Canelo for putting food in his table and he got that Dazn 100 million dollar deal because of Canelo and the third Canelo fight the company wanted to stage. ggg has a lame resume, this is a weak move to avoid Lara but hate to break it to you, neither Jacobs nor Canelo “whooped” him. Canelo couldn’t even whoop the 40 yr old version of ggg he fought in sept when he lost 4 straight rounds to end the fight. What Canelo got vs ggg was a gift draw in a fight he really lost, a controversial win that most ringiside observers had him losing and a lackluster win over an old ggg where he gassed and lost the championship rounds. And as far as Ppv’s canelo numbers without ggg have been pretty mediocre at best.
