Hope they don't rush his development based on this big win, can see a bright future for him. Looks like moving to Manny Robles's gym was a good move for him instead of sticking with a random gym in Nayarit, Mexico.

That was a dogfight. Hurd's style of was always gonna be his downfall as he got older just like Omar Figueroa. His size had carried him most of the way and even that didn't help him in this fight. Weird to see bc the first fight I saw him in with Galarza, he fought nothing like the way he's fought since. Credit to the young man Resendiz. Young man came ready for this opportunity, seized it completely and showed real heart and guts taking it to Hurd the way he did. Hope to see him in bigger fights in the future. As for Hurd, he's gonna hafta really look at himself and reflect on where he goes from here bc as bad as the Arias loss was, this one might have really put an end to his career as a notable top fighter.
