Good riddance!!! Had a terrible professional career ducked a lot of great fights and got tko by a 40 year old washed up overrated fighter.

Ryota was a good champ. Hopefully, he finds contentment in life after boxing.

Man made history for his country winning gold in the olympics in his division and won a world title. Accomplished the dreams of almost everybody that laces on gloves. Might get alot of flack for not fighting any marquee names except Golovkin, but he made big money and is a rockstar in Japan. He could live off of his name over there for a while. Let him enjoy the fruits of his labor while he's healthy with his family.

The JBC does a good job with making sure their fighters retire with their brains in check.

Most japanese fighters retire before 32.

In a month, his name will fade into oblivion, where he ''reigned'' supreme.
(Not that anyone was mentioning his name).....

Have a good life in retirement.
