Where is this week's thread at?
The thread should be posted tonight, as per Koba and NC Uppercut's previous exchange in this very thread.

In regard to the weekend, I still have to decide what to do. The easier route appears to be Figueroa in the second half (I think he can overwhelm and stop Magsayo, who often has a number of idle-ish periods during fights). But I'm also thinking about a draw, if Magsayo fights for real, and Figueroa offers a subpar performance. Brandon has recently been caught DWI, if I remember correctly... Those are usually the first signs of decline in a fighter. Alcohol does not forgive, ask Kovalev...

      Thanks for the DWI tip.

Ohara-Ritson is closer, what are you thoughts on that one?

Probably Ohara is the better fighter overall, though often disappointing. Plus, Ritson's psyche might be damaged after being beaten up by Ponce, despite having won a couple of fights after that loss. But I am not going to bet on this fight, especially because Ritson fights at home. The British magazine Boxing News picks Ritson to win on points.

BTW, PICK EM CREW - it's Thursday, and still no thread up for the weekend... remember, Ohara vs Ritson is tomorrow (Friday).

I'll get it up now, but I think sans Ritson vs Ohara, there just ain't enough time for everyone to get their picks in and Friday UK fights are the ones that always catch the most people out anyway.

Seems the right thing to do at this point.

Perhaps I could help in get the thread up when necessary; I'm just not good in locating the odds, but when in need...

Thanks for the offer Tat, but it's not so much that it's been necessary - even with my vison still recovering putting the threads up ain't particularly onerous especially given I'm using larger font sizes for most of it - but I've been giving NC the opportunity to get more involved. I'll return to normal service from next week, Monday or latest Tuesday and if he finds he's got the time to do some he'll just have to make sure to jump in before me.

That said if for whatever reason it does become necessary in future I'll give you a shout. The odds ain't really a problem - we obviously use Proboxingodds.com as the standard reference now (though I do look further afield at times) but if I ever can't locate em I either just say 'no odds available' / TBA and if one fighter or the other seems a clear favourite to me I'll make a provisonal call with a 'subject to confirmation' disclaimer.

Ritson vs Ohara is Saturday - just checked - it's Gassiev vs Balogun tomorrow - Armenian time too which wouldn't have worked at all at this late stage. Odds are nice and tight on Ritson Ohara too as I thought, so I reckon we stick it in after all.

My bad, I took for good an error in a betting website which stated Ohara vs Ritson was on March 3rd. All for the better, though!
