seriously, when the pick em rules state (I think) that a fight might be chosen because the fighters are noteworthy or famous etc - where's the line for you? We had Brook-Khan last year which was 2 washed up fighters - I get it that they were once champs - but where's the line?

Well, my friend. A couple of conclusions after last evening...

                1) Bad weekend at the betting office (and I still blame Ponce's corner for having started the negative trend).
                2) Though only a moral satisfaction, we do know our shìt about boxing (having predicted Badou Jack's upset win before succumbing to tactics and greed )

Seriously, Makabu had already looked shot in spots in his last outing (vs Mchunu). Again, a fighter who is disintegrated by Tony Bellew can't be that good.

Oh well - only 20 points lost in the game after all. Standings to follow soon.

PICK EM CREW: next weekend - Figueroa vs Magsayo is obvious, but - what about Lewis Ritson vs Ohara Davies?

It should be a decent scrap although it's a little way down the ranbkings and it is a 4 star fight so I'm not against it but I can't find any odds yet although I admit I've only given it a cursury check cos its still a struggle looking at the screen too long. I'll make a call on it when I can find some - or if you've seen some already let me me know.
