hopefully you’re right and the fight goes thru. It’ll be a great fight, but PBC has a history of advising their fighters against this sorta fights. Again, hopefully I’m wrong. I believe if the purse bid does happen, the winning bid amount will determine if he accepts or not.

Wilder vs Ruiz is definitely a more intriguing fight for me , harder to predict. Hrgovic can take a much better punch then Wilder and if you can’t reach him he’ll batter you slowly ,I think he does that to Ruiz for 12 rounds . But if the Hrgovic vs Ruiz gets made it forces others to start moving and stop waiting on fights to surface , I don’t even care if Usyk vs Fury gets made , Fury likes holding the division up to it must be a WBC champion thing these days ?

You are correct but I could picture hrgrocic and ruiz agreeing to fight then wilder and Usyk getting made. Usyk team could alway offer step aside money as well. It will be interesting to see how this plays out .

Another good HW matchup that probably doesn't happen. Ruiz Jr should take this fight because its very winnable and Deontay is going to fight Ngannou.Comment

There's really no incentive for Usyk to fight Wilder though. He has no belts and neither is a draw or a sell so who's going to put up the finances to stage that fight, let alone pay anyone step aside money? DAZN could pick up the rights but you better believe Wilder would have to sign a multi-fight deal with Hearn/Matchroom aka "the white devil"....going against everything hes claimed to stand for. PBC couldn't afford,or werent willing to meet Wilders demands for a Ruiz fight so highly unlikely they can afford the gaurantees that will cone with a Usyk/Wilder fight. Neither are going to take Haymons IOU's either ,Wilder already stated so.
Usyk vs Wilder here in the states does as about as well or worse than Wilder vs Ruiz,Saudis will not pick it up.....so where does that fight land and by whom??Last edited by Sctrojan; 02-21-2023, 11:22 AM.Comment

This is what I have been saying 'And it is pretty clear this is the situation'.
Firstly most of the Heavyweight division were waiting to see who Joshua fights.
Then secondly now they are all keenly observing these negotiations between Fury & Usyk etc.
The only top heavyweight fighter who does not seem to be waiting on Fury, Joshua & Uysk.
Is Joe Joyce.
I suppose it is a mess, but from the business perspective and the fighters point of view 'I can understand why they do this'.
But I feel that only a certain level of fighter can behave this way, others fighters just need to make and take fights.

Imo,pricing yourself out of a fight is a veiled form of ducking. That potential crossover fight with Ngannou is nothing more than rumors as nothing has been confirmed or signed correct?...but Wilder has already stated his purse wasn't sufficient enough to fight Ruiz so his decision was based on nothing more that his pay and not a future fight with whomever right?
Let me ask you this,if he DOESN'T land that crossover fight or Usyk(ain't happening gauranteed).....would you consider it a duck then?Comment
