Comments Thread For: Trainer: Jake Paul Punches Harder, Smarter, Has Higher Boxing IQ Than Tommy Fury

BJ Flores, who trains Youtube star turned boxer Jake Paul, is backing his man to demolish Tommy Fury on February 26 in Saudi Arabia. Fury, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is unbeaten with an 8-0 record and 4 wins by knockout.

Yeah I'll take BJ's word on that, after that future HOF career he had. He's just happy Paul gives him a bit of relevance after a career of lacking any of his own whatsoever. Not that it'a a high bar cuz Tommy is pretty trash but the guy has been around the sport his whole life. Paul is doing this as a gimmick and I do expect Tommy to take a decision here in an attrocious fight. If you pay for it, you'll be angry for wasting your time and money on this certified s**t show.

      They’re both terrible.

Anyone notice that Tommy does a “Mike Tyson’s Punch Out” tell with his hands just before throwing a jab? It’s quite hilarious.

None of those dudes would have wasted their time with Paul, it's clear BJ works on Paul's terms and time. Nobody else will put up with his nonsense except someone who thirsts for the relevance he never found and will never find as a trainer. Simply a guy who was willing to be a door mat for a decent buck. He failed as a boxer and commentator, his knowledge in comparison is laughable. The screen name fits so well.

You don’t think BJ is getting a decent pay check? Did BJ steal your girl or something?

BJ Flores should be applauded for what he has done with Jake Paul. AJ can fire entire training teams, and take world tours to find replacements, with all of who’s who in boxing trainers lining up, practically begging for the job, with really nothing to risk. As for Paul, he is a famous YouTuber who decided he wanted to be a boxer. Doing so you need a trainer, and money to spend on a good one. But who will take the job? Who will risk being looked at as a joke by the legit boxing community? Something made BJ do it. I don’t know the reason, but he did. And Paul obviously trusts him and loves him. Anyone who has ever boxed and had a relationship with a trainer knows how important this is. BJ cares about Paul and he believes in Paul, and Paul gives him his best, and that’s all he can do.
