Nobody thinks Wood is a great champion just a fun fighter who has totally overachiever.
But why they are mad when his fighter lose?

A lot of mexicans were champions fighting in Japan, but the japoneses fans respected the mexican fighters

Canelo alone killed 7 British fighters and will be 8 soon in Ryder.

British fighters ain't that unskilled but they haven't enough minerals and dogs inside them. Ryder and Liam Smith are closest things to dogs.

It's a style thing. UK boxing seems to match up better against the American urban boxing style than Mexican boxing. American urban boxing matches up well against Mexican boxing and Mexican boxing matches up well against UK/European boxing.

As to why Wood can fill an arena in his hometown, it's probably because UK fans are some of the best and most supportive fan bases in all of boxing. No need to hate on that, Lara has profited greatly from the UK fan base.

Probably because Mexican and Japanese were already fighting multiple decades ago while the UK/Mexico rivalry is quite more recent. Also likely that British are quite competitive when it comes to sports.

The biggest names from Mexico vs Japan excluding the journeymen would be:

              Vicente Saldivar vs Kuniaki Shibata
Efren Torres vs Hiroyuki Ebihara X2/ Susumu Hanagata X2
Jose Medel vs Fighting (Masahiko) Harada
Miguel Canto vs Shoji Oguma X2
              Ruben Olivares vs Takao Sakurai
              Ricardo Lopez vs Hideyuki Ohashi
Gilberto Roman vs Kiyoshi Hatanaka/Jiro Watanabe
Daniel Zaragoza vs Toshiaki Nishioka/Joichiro Tatsuyoshi X2
Johnny Gonzalez vs Hozumi Hasegawa/Toshiaki Nishioka
Oscar Larios vs Takahiro Ao X2
              Rafael Marquez vs Toshiaki Nishioka
Francisco Vargas/Miguel Berchelt vs Takeshi Miura
Luis Nery vs Shinsuke Yamanaka X2
              Elwin Soto vs Katsunari Takayama

              19-7

The ones who lost were Saldivar, Torres X3, Larios, Marquez (Was past it after the Vasquez trilogy) and Gonzalez.

What would you like the UK to do? Not fight Mexican fighters instead?

Mexico has a much deeper history in Boxing than the UK does, their champions are far greater than ours.

It's not a new concept that on average the Mexican fighters are better than the UK fighters but I'm sure the UK guys that want to be the best are still going to give it a go and sometimes they'll manage to win.

What do you mean why are they mad when they lose? It’s the same thing Mexicans do when the local fighter loses to a foreigner one. It’s not just a UK thing

Japan seems to be one of the very few countries that are respectful towards all athletes no matter what sport they are watching. During the World Cup some Japanese fans stayed behind to clean up the litter that people left, that’s something you don’t see people from other countries doing nowadays
