I'm guessing Wood will trigger his rematch, while it was a brutal KO he didn't take a prolonged beating or anything. Take your shot at getting the belt back. Maybe we get Warrington against Jazza or Conlan, maybe even TPW

I don't think a trainer cares how much time is left on the clock, he saw Wood hurt bad and in 10 seconds, Lara could easily land a big shot with Wood already hurt and then they could have rushed Wood to the emergency ward. It could have ended far worse. And thats not counting the next round where Wood could have sustained further damage if it was left to continue. Wood would have been a sitting duck like a person bleeding and a shark tearing at them.

In the end there are more important things than boxing. Yes, conceivably, Woods could've survived to the bell & come back & won. OTOH Woods could've taken one more head shot when he clearly wasn't in any state to take a head shot & it could've ended very badly. Remember Michael Watson v Eubank 2? Ben Davison did the right thing. Respect to Ben
