People need to take out nationalism when viewing someone, Castillo at 135 in his prime is what you call an educated pressure fighter, Am not comparing him to Cotto the WW and comparing both fighters ability to fight in the ring if they were both the same weight and IMO Castillo tick all the right boxes for me.

This has nothing to do with anyone else but the way both have handle their fights, I hope people actually watch past fights instead of just watching present fights/fighters and proclaiming them the best thing since slice bread.

Other than a great fights with Corrales and a good night against Mayweather what else has Castillo done. You mention his fight against Johnson who wouldn't be recognized by more than 95% of the posters on these boards and there's a reason why. Cotto has faced and beat the big names, he has shown he can both pressure and box. People here are downgrading Cotto because of his last few fights he proven, he can overcome adversity the cut on Clotteys fight, and his only loss now has a huge question beside it. Castillo has never even been close to Cotto level.

The Margarito fight means **** to me is a tainted fight and does not have any bearing on Cotto's ability other than his ability to take plaster laden punches. And on the Pac fight you'll see how good Cotto really is.

It still doesn't mean that he's better than Cotto. Castillo could fight I'm not saying he's a bum by any means but he was also limited in many ways and doesn't come close to being a good all around fighter like Cotto. Watch Cotto's early to work so you can see the many dimensions of Miguel Cotto.
