Well ok your right i thought that happened after Floyd/Hatton, there is still videos of Floyd calling out Cotto at 140 anyway. I believe he had it set in his mind he would retire after the Hatton fight anyway, Haters will call it ducking still. Cotto then went on to lose to Margs and hasn't really done anything else since.
IF Floyd was scared of anyone i would say it was Marg lol then again he looked scared when Mosley/Hopkins interupt him, even tho im pretty sure he beats Shane by wide UD with shane this old.Comment

I think some people here are giving JLC far too much credit. I think Cotto would have destroyed JLC. Castillo is a hell of a fighter but the difference is Cotto applies effective pressure and is relentless with it, as well as boxes very well. He knows how to counter and apply devastating combinations when on the offense. He has the ability to change game plans in the ring at will. Hence the reason he was able to defeat Shane Mosley and everyone else not named Margarito. I honestly don't believe JLC could have done anything with Shane or Cotto.
People are putting WAAAAAYYYYYYY too much stock in the Floyd vs JMM fight. Floyd was a guy that was physically way bigger than a JMM who ate his way up to 142 lbs. not to mention was uncomfortable at 135 lbs., is a counter puncher but not effective with his offense. Believe me Floyd will not have the same luxuries in a Cotto fight that he had with JMM fight. I honestly, believe that a Cotto fight could go either way and probably Floyd's first defeat. Everyone has a kryptonite and Floyd's is right around the corner, whether it's Mosley or Cotto one of these guys will erase Floyd's "0".Comment

That just proves that Floyd is a cherry picker knowing that version of Cotto was a green version who had no experience at the time but show me something recent where Floyd calls out Cotto now. It won't happen because Floyd's comment now is that he doesn't call out fighters they call him out. Well, still waiting for him to answer Shane's call out. Looks to me as if Shane called his bluff and had Floyd stuttering like Porky the Pig...da da da da da da da dat's all folks.Comment
