Mexico from Chavez to Canelo, Americans from Ali to Roy and Floyd, mayorga from Nicaragua or Duran from Panama, humility isn’t a common trait.

I couldn’t disagree more. From where I sit (above) there are significant differences in humility and sportsmanship across cultures. The average Mexican or Russian fighter acts nothing like the average PR fighter. Your average Kazakh, Ghanaian or Ukrainian fighter cannot relate to an urban American fighter whose insolent **** talking would get him maimed in the streets in their countries.

Well you have the right to be wrong. Puerto Rico has one of the highest murder rates per capita so the maimed in the streets argument is null and void and as I proved with the names mentioned in my other post, boxers from various countries have just as bad if not worse levels of lack of humility.

Did you prove something? I missed that part. Make a poll and see how many people agree with you. Also, read each line of my last post and then compare it to your response and note the incongruity.

are you denying that boxers such as Chavez, canelo, Hamed, Aj, Ali, Floyd, Roy , mayorga and Duran wouldn’t be described as humble? Who are these multiple excessively arrogant Puerto Rican, Cuban or Dominican fighters that surpass all others?? You chose to narrow it down to a few countries who you believe don’t produce arrogant boxers and couldn’t be more wrong about Mexico. Not to mention euros such as Kovalev , redech, wouldn’t be described as humble.

So looks like this is the new Hearn/Canelo agenda. Build up Berlanga with a couple of bum fights and get him the Canelo fight. Totally shameless but no surprise. Canelo is basically now just an attraction rather than a serious fighter.

Are you making your case by identifying outliers? Yes, there exist arrogant, flashy Mexican and Eastern European fighters. Yes, there are stoic, humble PR fighters. What are the norms though? As I said, make a poll and see what other fight fans think about it.

I tend to think social media is accelerating the development of an urban world culture, so it won't be long before all athletes are acting the fool, regardless of their geographic origins.

Who are these PR, DR, and Cuban boxers that are excessively arrogant, more so than others that they lead the pack? I’ll give you Camacho. Who else?
