**Shakes head**
It was Hopkins who advised Roy to retire in the locker room immediately after the Jones-Calzaghe bout. Now, with time running out in his search for the last (financially) great opponent, he has gone against what he said. I can't blame him; it makes sense (financially) and, at this stage, it's going to get very rough for Mr. Jones in the later rounds. Time has set in on Roy and Hopkins will finish the job.Comment

The question mark at the end of third sentence isn't supposed to be there. Plural of a risk is risks, not "risk's". "...didn't have too..." isn't correct. The correct word there is "to". Lets not crumble the language until we don't even know what we're saying. It would help his legacy. For one he can get that monkey off his back. I mean during his entire campaign at middleweight when he was racking off 20 something straight title defenses, nobody knew because most casual fans were so impress with Roy Jones skills and assets he possessed? Like most of B-Hop's career he was living in Roy's shadow until Roy got knocked out. They both dont like each other, there's incentive to go for the knockout so both fighters will take risk's. To me, this is a trap fight for Bernard. I give him props for taking the fight because he didnt have too, plus i rather see these two in particular fight each other than watch them handpick opponents to look good over.

Fight will be bigger if both of them hold a cruiserweight title. If that's case, it's gonna be a unification bout.Comment

Both Jones and Hopkins were in exciting fights. Hopkins used to be an offensive machine, and looked pretty good vs Pavlik. If there is enough emotion in it, I doubt it will be a boring fight. Don't you guys get it?This fight will be a huge borefest guaranteed. It isn't in these guys' nature to go out of their way to push themselves in the ring because they never had to due to their superior skills. In that sense, they are similar to Mayweather in that regard. It's just that Roy's incredible offense was his defense and Hopkins combined a philly shell style with an economic, yet accurate punch arsenal. Hopkins even implemented that in his prime, but the difference is he was exciting. I respect Hopkins a lot because I am a boxing purist up to an extent. But I can see why he is boring to people who are not boxing purists.Last edited by DigitalBeast; 09-26-2009, 09:56 AM.Comment

Thank you! Even though you seem to be rather bad at typing correctly, I agree with your point. Should NOT be a boring fight!I agree Dawson fans might say that, but you really think dawson is overrated? WOW Bernard has problems fighting guys with speed and stamina? It showed against roy in 93, J-taylor twice, and Calzaghe (who i felt he lost decisively too, the score cards were very hopkins friendly that night).lol, But im happy they are fighting, and i dont think it would be a miss match or a boring fight full of grabbing and holding like i hear some people complaining about, judging from their post Calzaghe fights you can say that they both have something left in the tank.

Hopkins scared of someone who loses to Danny Green? Just no...Legacy, legacy garbage,
this fight will happen only if Roy Jones Jr defeat the IBO champion in December
. How scare Hopkins is from Roy
? Why they cannot fight each other before December? That mean, if Jones lose that fight, then Hopkins will talk trash about “there is no sense to fight a loser”
I know very well Hopkins trash mouth.Comment
