If you like i can do so digging and post that thread there where the have the link to the telelphone conversation.
You say he's scared of Roy, but there are going to be droves claiming he is scared of Dawson now that this fight is on. And me being a Hopkins fan, I think Dawson is overrated and that Hopkins could beat him.

That article is four years out of date, hence the date at the top of the page: "Originally Published: December 16, 2005".

But the current article by Rafael is here.

However, given that the two articles are so similar, I'm highly sceptical that Rafael isn't making things up again this time, like he did four years ago.

Love the KO 60-40 clause. It should prevent the fight from being a borefest like the first one, but even if the fight's boring, the 24/7 will be the best damn TV you or I have ever seen.

We are going to have to listen to his haters say of how he is ducking Chad Dawson if Chad beats Johnson a lot more impressively than he did the first time, which will not be easy. But it's possible if Glen has lost a step. And I don't think a Hopkins-Adamek fight will ever happen. I think Tomasz is going to stay at Heavyweight.
It would help his legacy. For one he can get that monkey off his back. I mean during his entire campaign at middleweight when he was racking off 20 something straight title defenses, nobody knew because most casual fans were so impress with Roy Jones skills and assets he possessed? Like most of B-Hop's career he was living in Roy's shadow until Roy got knocked out. They both dont like each other, there's incentive to go for the knockout so both fighters will take risk's. To me, this is a trap fight for Bernard. I give him props for taking the fight because he didnt have too, plus i rather see these two in particular fight each other than watch them handpick opponents to look good over.

This fight will be a huge borefest guaranteed. It isn't in these guys' nature to go out of their way to push themselves in the ring because they never had to due to their superior skills. In that sense, they are similar to Mayweather in that regard. It's just that Roy's incredible offense was his defense and Hopkins combined a philly shell style with an economic, yet accurate punch arsenal. Hopkins even implemented that in his prime, but the difference is he was exciting. I respect Hopkins a lot because I am a boxing purist up to an extent. But I can see why he is boring to people who are not boxing purists.

I agree Dawson fans might say that, but you really think dawson is overrated? WOW Bernard has problems fighting guys with speed and stamina? It showed against roy in 93, J-taylor twice, and Calzaghe (who i felt he lost decisively too, the score cards were very hopkins friendly that night).lol, But im happy they are fighting, and i dont think it would be a miss match or a boring fight full of grabbing and holding like i hear some people complaining about, judging from their post Calzaghe fights you can say that they both have something left in the tank.

I agree with the poster who made the 24/7 reference. This will be THE best 24/7 we've ever seen. Two guys, past their primes but still looking for the spotlight in one way or another. One of them is still in the top 10 P4P, the other looks to reclaim his spot atop that list that he held for a good part of 10 years or more.

                  WAHOOOOOO!!!

Dawson doesn't have very good stamina and takes breaks in rounds. That's why if the same Hopkins that beat Pavlik shows up against Dawson he would win handily. But if this fight with Roy gets him more money and more mainstream appeal, more power to him.

Legacy, legacy garbage, this fight will happen only if Roy Jones Jr defeat the IBO champion in December. How scare Hopkins is from Roy? Why they cannot fight each other before December? That mean, if Jones lose that fight, then Hopkins will talk trash about “there is no sense to fight a loser” I know very well Hopkins trash mouth.
