1-2 years ago I thought this fight was a complete mismatch in Benavidez' favor, but the more I imagine this fight playing out, the more I can imagine ways for Plant to win. Plant is right that Benavidez' career and reputation are a bit of smoke and mirrors. He's looked good, but he's not fought fighters with elite attributes, and he's especially not fought fighters with Plant's attributes. I still believe that Benavidez should be the favorite in this fight, but I no longer regard it as a massive upset if he loses.
