The previous ruling permitted Lara an optional defense before the WBA would order a title consolidation bout. It seems as though GGG is trying to get out of fighting both of his mandatory fights. Falcao is a dangerous fighter with power, and Lara is a skilled boxer. He's already given up the belt that he would of defended against Falcao, we'll see if he does the same for Lara.

IBF has the worst rankings of any org. LIke the WBO, it was made by American promoters to give their guy "world titles" who weren't good enough to beat the top guys. That's it.
The belt has no lineage. The only belts that matter are the main WBA belt and the main WBC belt.

Golovkin used the IBF mando excuse to not fight Erislandy Lara.

Now that he’s not fighting the IBF mando the WBA should step in and force him to fight Lara or vacate.

These ducking and dodging loopholes need to not be allowed.
