Cottos fought better WWs, Cottos taken on the challenges. Floyd waited to purposely fight the left over wws. He avoid the challenges and kept fighting fighters moving up in weight like Hatton and Marquez. Whos next? Calderon?

I don't give a ****, I'll just say it. I'm a fight fan. Sure, Mayweather's skill set is amazing, he's quick, he barely gets hit and he's great at what he does. But man, I would watch a blood and guts battle over a chess match any day.

I believe that in boxing your goal should be to knock the other guy out not just hit him more and not hurt him... I' am not saying a fighter only really wins when he knocks the other guy out. I just think if you are a boxer you should be trying to win the fight by KO, i dont mean slug it out i just mean being able to finish the guy off.

But iam a "boxing fan" dont try and tell me otherwise on account of your definition.
If you are truly a "BOXING FAN" how can you find his fights boring?

If you are truly a "BOXING FAN" how can you say you should be trying to win the fight by KO?

when did being a boxer require you to always try to knock the other guy out?
what about fighting your fight, and if the knockout comes it comes..

            Boxing fan

            and Horus

can you actually discuss any other boxing not related to Floyd because I have never seen it personally? Even when discussing things like Mosley you take it in context to shine Floyd.

so why don't we do this

how about someone in here who knows you better than I do start a topic solely for you about something other than Floyd

            for example

the Super 6 your take on each fighter's chances and why

            WITHOUT talking about

            Floyd
            Leonard
            p4p
            anything related to Floyd

so how about it since you are big on asking us questions?

I am a fan of both. I enjoy all styles although I lean towards guys who try to decapitate an opponent.

Boxing is beautiful because of it's diversity. You can have seamless fluidity or pure carnage. Both can be graceful and both fall under the category of boxing.

Your third option should have been: "Boxer Fan" Meaning a fan of a particular fighter and only seems interested in that one particular fighter.

I think if Mayweather used those skills against Welterweights a lot of his critics would be more satisfied. Of course there will always be the ones that are never satisfied, but more people would be satisfied, I think, with him just fighting Welterweights regardless if he wins or loses.

A lot of people write off potential match-ups because "Mayweather is too skilled and would easily beat fighter X" Great! At the end of the day, regardless of the outcome, I would still like to see it happen, not just imagine it.
