Makes sense with all 168 belts and 175 WBA belt. I don't know why Eddie didn't think about catchweight.

I know that you LOVE you some Crawford, and feel like discrediting Spence, Haymon, and anything PBC on every thread and topic somehow lifts up Bud, but at some point you have to shake the imaginary world that you've created for yourself, because there's a beautiful world of reality out here where Crawford still can be your idol, but actually fight the top contenders and Spence, if Errol even wants to do business with him anymore. Anyway, reality is a good thing, try it for a little while, Bud still has time to change his history of cherries, both he and Boots are available without an opponent.

I don't remember any Championship won at a catchweight ... But I could be wrong ...

He has one belt at 175. What has he unified?

Baby super welterweight Canelo is way too small for 175! 155 is his maximum. He’s fighting giants!

I don’t hate Canelo at all, great fighter, but him dragging a 32 year old career Light Heavyweight down to a weight he’s never fought at is disgraceful and only a fanboy would justify that kind of BS.
Almost like pulling a 40 year old semi retired career middleweight up to 168 to get his “dominant knockout win” that never happened.

Canelo Alvarez if he is a fighters fighter, will understand that he needs to rematch and beat Bivol at 175 pounds…Alvarez vs Bivol at 168 pounds, is a devalued fight. 7 pounds, is a mass amount of weight to drop. And these are fighters already in peak condition.
Get real. Canelo has been pushing for 175 this entire time. If Bivol wants to try for the 168 belts that’s on him, not Canelo. In the end, he must take which ever opportunity Bivol gives him.

But quit acting like it’s a “devalued” fight. A fight at 168 would be both fighters on a even playing field. It’ll prove who really is the better boxer. This fight isn’t just about Canelo either. Obviously Bivol wants to fight for legacy as well.

A small middleweight like Canelo tried to prove himself by fighting Bivol at 175. But Bivol trying to do the same at 168 is too much? Come on. If anything he still has a better chance at 168 than Canelo did at 175 lol. Canelo jumped 2 weight classes from where he should be with only 1 fight under his belt. Bivol is going down 1 weight class with PLENTY of experience fighting at 168.

If he can’t beat Canelo at 168 then it just proves Bivol didn’t win their first match, Canelo just lost it.

It seems the decision ball entirely on Bivol court side ,he knows 168 canelo whole different deal but undisputed legacy is just too big to ignore, plus there is no guarantees he'll fight beterbiev and the reason is Bob Arum.

Also lets not forget, moving down in weight was bivol suggestion since start not canelos.

****** ass post. Clenelo got his ass whooped at 175 and he needs to go back there and avenge it. He knows good and dam well that he's not good enough to beat Bivol so it's drain time.
