It's because he's had to take the long hard road, that he most likely will succeed to super stardom, just like Marvelous Marvin Hagler did!
In life what doesn't break you, makes you stronger. May this be the case with one of the most exciting fighter's in boxing. How's that for emphasis?

I'd love to see him fight in NYC, whether it's in the mecca of boxing MSG, where the greatest of the great's fought, and have left an aura of their spirit's, or the Barclay's.
Even if it's in the Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium, in Baymon, Puerto Rico, or in the gladiatorial Colosseum in Rome.
Subriel " Browny" Matias in going to leave his indelible in boxing, he must get past Ponce, and his staunchest future opponent's Prograis, and Russell.

YUP , David is looking not good but great
Exciting , strong puncher , good skills and also footwork
But I’d say he can still polish up a tad and he isn’t far from a total package , honestly
      Very impressive

I'm with you brother on that, I hope that he rock's, drop's, and stop's Ponce after giving him a good shellacking, for delaying the fight.
Bringing him next to face off against Prograis, for the Puerto Rican Parade weekend at the MSG in NYC.
Topping off that fight card with Zander Zayas, and Edgar Berlanga facing off against a top ten contender in their weight division's.

Now you know Puerto Rican Day Parade Weekend is owned by Top Rank, and not PBC! I'm sure Prograis will fight in the SPring, and maybe we get a unification in the fall?

So far he’s not a douche, either. I agree with everything you mentioned. Morrell’s skills and physical ability appear to be in place. All that remains in my mind is mental strength. David showed some of that in his last fight. I was very happy about that. Time will tell, as it always does, but I’m pretty encouraged about this kid. Just hope he moves along at the correct pace. As good as he is, Morrell only has eight pro fights under his belt. He has a lot more work to do. Good news is, Dave is only 25.

That weekend's event is owned by whomever has the foresight to rent a venue on that specific date first.
That old Bob Arum has been smart enough to secure a venue on that weekend well enough in advance in the past year's doesn't mean he own's it.
I'm also not a firm believer that competing promotional companies won't ever allow their fighter's to fight their rival's.
Whenever the money, and the clamor becomes big enough for to fighter's to fight, it will eventually happen, it's already happened enough times in the past.

Haha I meant it to be funny/not funny. As a Cuban-American, I’m sensitive to the way athletes from my homeland, in all disciplines, come across. They represent. I roll my eyes when a Cuban, especially one with talent, is arrogant, ******, undisciplined, etc. This guy Morrell looks like he’s the goods. And I’m happy to note his persona isn’t disappointing, either.

Nice. I suspect he's more looking for a Yes-man like Malik Scott with Deontay Wilder though. He really needs someone who will be honest with him about his performances.
