The story gets people hyped. Mayweather's all access were great. Froch Groves was a great story, Eubank Benn (not the kids) Fury Wilder, Lewis Tyson, Ali had several, and many more. This fight is not a formality for Canelo as everyone is thinking. Ryder is more game than Billy Joe Saunders and brings that southpaw style. Lets not forget Ryder unofficially beat Callum Smith. Judging by how Canelo performed in his last 2 fights and the fact that he is almost certainly now within the onset of athletic decline I would not rule out Ryder shocking him.

I think you might have a point. There's been talk in this thread about this fight having no story, but there is always the chance of the best storyline of all: the shock win by the underdog. Ryder can be a little slippery and, as you say, is a southpaw. I'd still make Canelo a wide favourite, but stranger things, etc.
