Ryder is actually 2nd ranked on boxrec at 168. Now you could argue that;s just because the likes of Benevidez and Plant never fight but that's hardly Ryders fault .. Canelo cleaned out the 168 so unless someone new comes along who's willing to take a fight or Bivol drops to 168 he's always going to be short of opposition. Credit to Ryder if he's willing to go to Mexico for a fight.

Maybe Showtime getting out of boxing with the recent changes will lead to some of the soon to be ex PBC fighters picking up the pace like .. Benevidez vs Plant that should have happened years ago.

At this stage of his career, Canelo shouldn't be fighting people that nobody in America or Mexico knows. John Ryder who?

Canelo is done. Bivol ruined him. 40 old GGG with zero punch resistance should haven been the only tune up for Canelo at this point.

Glad to see all the time and work has paid off for the man, and now he can do what he wants and fight whoever whenever wherever.. talk about reaching the pinnacle absolute pinnacle of your profession. That’s Canelo!!
The best thing that could happen to boxing is for Bivol to fight Canelo at 168 pounds in September,
comprehensively whup him - again - and leave Canelo with no belts and no leverage to keep making a fool out of DAZN by getting excessive purses to fight cherry-picked opponents. It’s time for Canelo to go play golf full time and stop blocking boxing from moving ahead because of his diva “I won’t fight other Mexicans/Andrade/etc.” diva BS.

Their goal is to rob Bivol like they tried to the first time. So fighting Cheatballs at 168 is ******. It's a recipe for disaster..if at all possible they will try again to rob Bivol..

I take your point - that COULD happen. I have a feeling though that the last GGG fight showed Canelo is in clear decline and even a Bivol at 168 will beat him so clearly the judges won’t have the nerve to rob him
