That was a number that Arum put out, and refused to release the official numbers.

Let me ask you this: If it was 1.3 million (a good number) why would they refuse to release the official numbers?

          Sigh. Must we do this?

Paid attendance was 36K. They gave away 6K additional seats for total attendance of 42K

The gate revenues were about ~$6 million.

You are wrong. There was no 51,000 plus.

Explain your point. I am not seeing the connection.

I didnt say paid attendance. There was a ****load of people there for the CLOTTEY fight, easily 50K. Were you there ? I was also there for the Margarito fight which the attendance was 41K. I was also at the MGM Grand for the JMM-Mayweather fight where there was 13K there.

You still never answered the question, would there have been 50K there for CLottey-Mayweather, even if all the tickets were free. No chance. Just calling a spade a spade.

What part of TOTAL ATTENDANCE was confusing?

It was not 51,000. It was 42,000. Fewer if you only count paid.

Do you have some type of special "audience quantitative estimation" skill that is superior to the OFFICIAL turnstiles count? You're the Rain Man of boxing crowds?

And yes, Mayweather would have outsold Pac's attendance. History is the best predictor, and I am going by the history where Floyd's attendance consistently outsells Pac, and his gate revenues consistently exceeds Pac's. I trust that trendline.

BTW...Don't say "easily over 50K again". I've given you the official number. You sticking to the fake "easily 50K" number only makes you seem either biased or daft.

                  • Good for him, but all that money can't buy him a place in the PFP. I think that respect is more important then money.

Yes. Floyd isn't respected as a fighter. He is never on the p4p.
